Metagram was engaged to design the revitalization of the FINEPRINT Second Street store.

 

For near half a decade, FINEPRINT's Second Street store has been a key resident in the Sai Ying Pun Coffee Scene. In 2024, an adjacent lot became available ushering in an extremely unique opportunity to expand the establishment, to become a 'precinct' type cafe.

With two stores opening onto a central laneway, customers would naturally occupy the in-between spaces creating a dynamic set of dining modes, creating a distinct sense of containment for the dining experience. 

​

Between the 4 distinct spaces, Metagram carefully designed openings and overlapping vistas which would connect the spaces - actively avoiding segregation and encouraging lines of sight between private and private space. The result was layered space that would ensure each seating space would be visually connected to the activity and 'energy' of the site's central and active heart.
